Different Types Of CSS
Using Inline Stylesheet
Including inline stylesheet definition throughout an HTML document is similar to apply an attribute to HTML. For example. <p style=”align:right”> This is my new pen</p>
We can apply inline style definition to the specific element or tag in HTML document. It is a time-consuming process. Since inline stylesheet would not apply throughout an HTML document.
Embedded stylesheet means inserting the style along with the style information in the head section. If the same style rule has to apply on more than one element than the declaration can be grouped. Embedding stylesheet makes maintaining and updating style easy because we do not have to work with the different document like stylesheet document and HTML document.
In some cases, we want to apply similar settings for all the webpages on the website. This can be done by putting all the style rule in the separate plain text file with extension.CSS then it can be applied to the HTML document using either of this method-
In this method, each stylesheet method has a different task that can be imported in a single HTML document. For example, we can develop a stylesheet page that applies color to the paragraph in the document one to applies colour to heading in the document.
Linking the stylesheet
This method gives the visitor the choice of the stylesheet to use for a specific use. <link rel=”stylesheet” href=”URL”>. Here rel is the relation to the external document.
Therefore webpages can be made more attractive using these stylesheets.
