Ironbridge Golf Club. Located a scenic 40-minute drive from Aspen, the Ironbridge course was designed by famed golf course architect Arthur Hills. It offers spectacular views of Mount Sopris. Fairways meander through rollig meadows, beautiful holes play along the Roaring Fork River, and four signature alpine holes are located hundreds of feet above the valley floor. Ironbridge offers five different tee placements, ranging from 4,948 yards to 7,224 yards. Par 72.
Of special note are four signature alpine holes that follow the mountainside and play among the pines of the upper valley, overlooking the main Ironbridge Golf Course 300 feet below. Crisscrossed with bridges, these upper holes offer both a unique challenge and spectacular beauty.
When the above are combined with additional open water features, natural sage borders, and scenic cliffs and ravines, the Ironbridge Golf experience rates among the best not only in the Roaring Fork Valley, but the entire western United States.
Initial play on the Ironbridge Golf Course began in May, 2003. The Ironbridge Golf Club, currently being designed by Vail architects VAg, Inc., will provide full service golf amenities that include well appointed areas for Club and family events.
